Creator’s Almanac™ on Instagram: "“Sunflower” almost didn’t exist in the movie. The directors originally wanted to use Donald Glover’s “Redbone” for the iconic scene where Miles Morales sings along. However, they realized “Redbone” had just been used in the movie Get Out, so they pivoted to “Sunflower.” It turned out to be the perfect choice to show Miles trying to sing a song that was “too big” for him.
