It's a long and winding road at Mount Rainier National Park, here comes the sun and the busy summer season. As you prepare to head to the park, even day trippers should download park maps in advance. The marmots at Mount Rainier National Park eat a variety of vegetation found in the subalpine meadows, including flowers, leaves, and grasses. They should not be eating apples, crackers, GORP, or ham sandwiches. Please do not feed marmots or any other wild animals. They need to eat what grows in their environment to stay healthy.
