Remembering singer and songwriter Mel Tillis, who was born on August 8, 1932 in Tampa, Florida. Mel had an incredible career, writing and/or recording hit songs from the 1950's to the 2000's. Mel Tillis had an incredibly successful Country Music career both as an artist and as a songwriter. He became a member of the Grand Ole Opry and was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
