National Hot Dog Day 2025: Wienerschnitzel chili dogs and other deals
Wednesday, July 16 is National Hot Dog Day, meaning Wienerschnitzel will be discounting its beloved chili dogs, as you’d expect. But several other chains and convenience stores will be giving it a run for its money. They include Shake Shack, which came out with its own chili dog and four other limited-time dogs on Tuesday, July 15.

Wienerschnitzel dropped the Der from its name in 1977 but continues to use it in its marketing. Meanwhile, the company’s Wilmington outlet has gone through its own changes.
