Trump says Indonesia will buy 50 Boeing aircraft and import energy and agricultural commodities from the US as part of a trade deal.
President Donald Trump said he reached a deal with Indonesia that will tariff its goods at 19%, adding that the Southeast Asian nation agreed to erase all duties on US imports and buy more than $19 billion of American products including 50 Boeing Co.
US President Donald Trump has struck a deal with Indonesia. While an official statement from Jakarta is awaited, Trump took to Truth Social to announce the business agreement with Southeast Asia’s largest economy.
Trump announces a 19 percent import tariff for Indonesia to the US. In return, the US will export various energy, agricultural, and Boeing 777 products to Indonesia.
Indonesia committed to buying $15 billion worth of U.S. energy, $4.5 billion in American agricultural products and 50 Boeing jets, "many of them 777's," Trump announced on social media.
