The Walt Disney Co. said it is digging in for a lengthy standoff with Google-owned YouTube TV over carriage fees — stoking investor fears over the Mouse House’s struggling TV business
The YouTube TV blackout of Disney-owned channels has kept a pair of Monday Night Football games from being televised to millions of viewers.
According to a new survey from Drive Research (via Variety ), YouTube TV subscribers aren't happy. In response to the standoff, 24% of respondents said they had already cancelled their subscription or were planning to do so. That's according to around 1,100 consumers who responded to the survey.
YouTube TV had pledged to offers subscribers the $20 credit if Disney-owned channels were still unavailable "for an extended period of time."
