Trump and the Trump administration have increasingly turned their fire on Powell and his leadership of the central bank.
Star Sports political betting analyst William Kedjanyi told Newsweek: "Donald Trump has been harassing Jerome Powell, chair of the Federal Reserve, for months and months over interest rates. Trump wants Powell pushed out, despite the fact that Trump appointed him, and even if he does manage to survive, Powell's term ends in 10 months.
After asking a group of House Republicans on Tuesday if he should fire Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell, President Trump on Wednesday said it's unlikely Powell will be fired and he'll wait until the Fed chair's term is up next year.
