It looks like Warner Bros. is already very happy with Superman, after just a few days in theaters. Warner Bros. boss David Zaslav has released a lengthy statement praising both DC Studios co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran.

The latest iteration of the comic book film franchise “Superman” made a splash at the box office this weekend, giving Warner Bros. Discovery, Inc. (WBD) a reason to cheer. According to Box Office Mojo,

"Superman" is well-liked and should play for weeks in the U.S., but DC's path back to tentpole powerhouse status will take time.
