Former Wisconsin congressman and MTV reality star Sean P. Duffy has been named by President-elect Donald Trump as his nominee for transportation secretary. “Sean will use his experience and the relationships he has built over many years in Congress to maintain and rebuild” the country’s infrastructure, Trump said in a statement.

Like Trump, a former reality-TV personality: Duffy was featured on MTV’s “The Real World: Boston” in 1997. He and his wife, Rachel Campos-Duffy, met on the set of MTV’s “Road Rules: All Stars” in 1998. Campos-Duffy is a co-host of “Fox & Friends Weekend.”

Trump tried to persuade Duffy to run for Wisconsin governor in 2022, bypassing former Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch.
