SummerSlam takes place in Minneapolis on Aug. 1 and 2

CM Punk will defend his Undisputed WWE Championship against Cody Rhodes in the main event of SummerSlam 2026. Punk won the title with a win over Sami Zayn.

During the July 10 episode of SmackDown, the new Undisputed WWE Champion, CM Punk, returned as the newest member of the blue brand. The Best in the World cut a passionate promo, talking about becoming a workhorse champion and putting the entire locker room on notice.
