President Donald Trump says Ukraine and Russia are “closer than ever before” to a peace deal, even as Russia launched another round of attacks on Ukraine while Ukrainian President Volodomyr Zelenskyy flew to the United States.

President Donald Trump lashed out at a reporter for asking a “dumb question” ahead of his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at Mar-a-Lago on Sunday.

Zelenskyy said he and Trump discussed “all aspects” of the peace plan, adding that the military dimension was “100 per cent agreed” while the plan generally is “90 per cent agreed”.
