Sarah Pidgeon responded to criticism over her hair and wardrobe as Carolyn Bessette Kennedy in the upcoming Ryan Murphy series, 'American Love Story.' "I understand how widely beloved she is," the actress told 'Variety.

Pidgeon added that the opportunity to play Bessette-Kennedy has also changed how she conducts herself: “I think that she is an incredibly generous person and she’s incredibly confident,” she said. “I don’t know if I necessarily always carry myself in that way, but it’s been really empowering to channel those elements of Carolyn.”
