Around the time that some fans were having a meltdown over Luke Skywalker in The Last Jedi, Rian Johnson and Lucasfilm were planning to piss them off even further with a whole new trilogy helmed by Johnson.

Filmmaker Rian Johnson, who is known for 'Knives Out', 'Glass Onion', 'Looper', and others, shared the reason for scrapping the 'Star Wars' trilogy, reported Variety. Johnson who directed the space opera 'Star Wars: The Last Jedi' released in 2017,
