ST PAUL, Minn. — Sen. Nicole Mitchell officially resigned Friday after being convicted of two counts of felony burglary related to a break-in at her stepmother's house in Detroit Lakes. In a post on social media, Sen. Mitchell announced her decision in a message where she thanked her family, friends and constituents.
