The Mets’ first pick was docked 10 spots from No. 28 to 38 because they exceeded the luxury tax threshold by more than $40 million last year

With the No. 38 overall pick in the 2025 MLB Draft, the New York Mets selected two-way player Mitch Voit from Michigan baseball.

The Orioles’ first three picks were Auburn catcher/corner outfielder Ike Irish (No. 19), Coastal Carolina catcher Caden Bodine (No. 30) and Wehiwa Aloy (No. 31). The No. 19 pick was the Orioles’ original first-round selection, while Nos. 30 and 31 were compensation for losing Corbin Burnes and Anthony Santander in free agency.
