Jazz Chisholm Jr.’s recent power surge has landed him in the Home Run Derby. The Yankees’ All-Star second baseman was announced on Thursday as the final participant for Monday’s Derby at Truist Park in Atlanta.

Originally a seventh-round pick out of Northeastern in 2022, Schlittler made significant strides this season. He pitched to a 2.82 ERA with 99 strikeouts in 76.2 innings over 15 minor-league appearances, the final five of which came at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

It's an odd ending, spurred in part by the Yankees' choice to move Jazz Chisholm back to his preferred spot at second base. LeMahieu ended up playing in seven seasons with the Yankees and batting .278 in pinstripes.
