The Sabres announced Tuesday that Radim Mrtka has signed a three-year, entry-level contract, which has an average annual value (AAV) of $975,000, according to the NHL’s current collective bargaining agreement.

The Buffalo Sabres have agreed to terms with their most recent first-round pick. Defenceman Radim Mrtka, who was selected ninth overall in June's draft, signed a three-year entry-level deal, the team announced on Tuesday.

General manager Kevyn Adams still has work to do. Defenseman Bowen Byram will be going to arbitration if he isn’t traded before then. Alex Tuch is eligible to sign a contract extension. And the team still has more than $13 million in salary-cap space with only Byram and defenseman Conor Timmins unsigned.
